GDN trailer: R Madhavan brings legendary inventor GD Naidu's story to life
The makers of GDN have released the official trailer of the R Madhavan-starrer, offering a glimpse into the inspiring life and struggles of legendary Indian inventor G.D. Naidu. The biographical period drama is directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar.
The makers of GDN released the official trailer of the film on Sunday (July 5), offering audiences their first detailed look at the life of legendary Indian inventor GD Naidu. R Madhavan plays legendary inventor GD Naidu in the biographical period drama, which explores his life, groundbreaking inventions and the challenges he faced along the way.
Spanning over three minutes, the trailer takes viewers through Naidu's early years, showcasing how his curiosity and unconventional ideas shaped his path. It also highlights the many challenges he encountered and his determination to continue creating despite repeated setbacks.
Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, GDN features R Madhavan in the lead role, with Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan playing key characters.
The screenplay has been written by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and R Madhavan.
The film is backed by producer Varghese Moolan in association with Tricolour Films, the banner founded by Madhavan and his wife, Sarita.
GDN is set to release in theatres on 17th July
On the professional front, Madhavan was last seen in Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh.
The actor was also recently honoured with the Padma Shri, recognising his contribution to Indian cinema.
