Meta launches new app called Pocket, it lets you vibe-code cool games with AI
Meta has quietly launched a new app called Pocket that lets users create small, interactive games and experiences using AI prompts. It is a result of Meta's acquisition of the team at the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year.

Meta is quietly stepping into the world of AI-generated gaming with a new app called Pocket. The app lets people create small, interactive games and experiences simply by typing a prompt, and it also includes a scrollable feed where users can browse and play with what others have built. Meta calls these creations "gizmos," and the app describes itself as "a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos."
The app was first spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer known for catching new apps and features before they're officially announced, who published a Play Store screenshot of Pocket on X. According to app intelligence firm Appfigures, though, Pocket had already quietly gone live on both the App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026, before anyone noticed.
The Gizmo connection
Pocket isn't something Meta built from scratch. It is the direct result of Meta's acquisition of the team behind Gizmo, a vibe-coded gaming platform that works in a very similar way. Gizmo's original app is still listed on the stores, and the two apps share a lot in common, from the AI prompt-based creation tool to the discovery feed. Gizmo had managed to rack up 635,000 lifetime installs across iOS and Android before Meta came along, with a 98 percent positive sentiment rating, which likely caught Meta's attention in the first place.
Meta's bigger AI play
Pocket fits neatly into Meta's broader push to bring AI creation tools to everyday users. The company has already rolled out AI-generated images through its Meta AI app, AI videos through an app called Vibes, and AI features across its social platforms and its video-editing app Edits. Pocket extends that effort into interactive experiences and gaming, a space Meta hasn't directly targeted with an AI tool until now.
That said, Meta has not officially announced Pocket, and the company has not responded to requests for comment. Given how quietly it launched, Pocket is likely still in an early experimentation phase, and a proper announcement may still be some way off.
