This upcoming SUV becomes Maruti Suzuki's fifth 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated model

The Bharat NCAP assessment was carried out on the Brezza ZXi+ 1.5-litre automatic variant, with the ratings also applicable to several 1.5-litre manual, automatic and the upcoming 1.0-litre turbo-petrol variants.

Closest look at the Brezza before launch
Ahead of its official unveiling, the updated Brezza has already begun arriving at dealerships, giving prospective buyers the closest look yet at the SUV's redesigned exterior.
While the overall silhouette remains familiar, the facelift introduces a revised front fascia featuring a new grille, redesigned bumper and updated fog lamp housings. Higher variants are expected to sport a gold-finished grille, while a larger silver skid plate-inspired insert lends the front end a more rugged appearance. The side profile remains largely unchanged apart from a new set of four-spoke alloy wheels, while the rear gets subtle revisions including updated LED lighting elements and minor bumper tweaks.
Turbo-petrol engine headlines mechanical updates
The biggest change underneath the bonnet is expected to be the introduction of Maruti Suzuki's 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. Already offered in the Fronx, the three-cylinder unit produces 100bhp and 148Nm of torque.
Recent dealership displays indicate the engine could be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, marking the first time the Brezza will be offered with a turbo-petrol powertrain.
