50 days, more than 1,000 hours, and countless moments have passed since students appeared for the second CBSE board examinations in May this year. The wait has now stretched beyond expectations, testing the patience of lakhs of students and parents.

This year, CBSE introduced the policy allowing students to appear for two board examinations to improve their scores under the "Best of Two" system. But the wait for the best result has itself turned into an "entrance test". Social media platforms are flooded with reels, posts, memes and comments asking CBSE one question: When will the results be declared? While the board has continued to issue updates on other matters, it has not shared any timeline for the results. As the counselling season gathers pace and colleges move ahead with admissions, many students say the uncertainty is disrupting their academic plans.

The delay in the declaration of the second board examination results has triggered widespread reactions on social media, with students expressing concern over the lack of communication from the board.

On X, students have posted a steady stream of complaints, memes and appeals seeking an update. Several users said the delay is affecting admissions to Class 11, particularly for those hoping to change streams after improving their scores. The online discussion has become a mix of frustration and humour, with many joking about repeatedly checking for result notifications while others criticised the board for keeping students waiting.

Commenting on CBSE's latest post on X, one user pointed out that 50 days had passed since the examination. The user said students were under stress due to the delay. Those seeking stream changes were unable to complete the process, the user added. The post also noted that students who may have to appear for compartment examinations remain uncertain about whether they should prepare using the Class 10 or Class 11 syllabus.

Another user wrote, "Declaring the results is perhaps not even on CBSE's priority list. Every day, one waits for just a single notification, and all one gets is silence."

A separate post said, "Getting results from the CBSE now feels like clearing an entrance exam. The exam lasted just one day, yet the wait has dragged on for months."

The issue has gained attention as this is the first batch of students to appear for the second board examination under CBSE's revised examination system. With no official announcement on the result date, students continue to track every update from the board and unofficial sources, hoping for clarity on when the results will be declared.
