Pregnant Samantha shares sweet reaction to Maa Inti Bangaram's biggest milestone.

Mother-to-be Samantha Ruth Prabhu had the sweetest reaction after her latest film, Maa Inti Bangaram, crossed the Rs 100-crore mark worldwide. Sharing an adorable video on social media, the actor celebrated the milestone with husband Raj Nidimoru, before opening up about the self-doubt, anxiety and scepticism that surrounded the film ahead of its release.

The video begins with Samantha enjoying a quiet moment before Raj walks in carrying an iPad. Curious, she unlocks the screen, only to find a poster announcing that Maa Inti Bangaram has entered the Rs 100-crore club worldwide. Her face instantly lights up with a smile, making for a heartwarming moment that fans were quick to celebrate.

But for Samantha, the milestone wasn't just about numbers.

In a heartfelt note, the 39-year-old actor admitted that she spent the days leading up to the release questioning everything. Was anyone talking about the film? Was the promotional material reaching audiences? Did people even know Maa Inti Bangaram was releasing?

She then recalled overhearing a conversation that stayed with her.

A friend had called an exhibitor in a B-centre to ask how the film might fare at the box office. The response, Samantha wrote, was blunt: "Why would anyone watch a heroine film? If she's in a big hero's film, fine. People know her for the glamour. But a film led by a heroine? Who will come? Nobody (sic)."

"Real change happens only when someone is willing to take a risk," she wrote, adding that while such risks don't always pay off, "sometimes they do. For us, this one did (sic)."

She said her biggest hope is that the film's success will slowly change the conversation around female-led cinema. The next time someone asks an exhibitor about a heroine-led film, she hopes the answer won't be an immediate rejection, but a hopeful, "Let's see."
