Man pours water in bathroom, father objects. He beats him to death with iron rod

A man bludgeoned his father to death with an iron rod after he was scolded for pouring water in the bathroom at their home in Gujarat's Surat district, police said. The accused, Jeetu Lamode, who fled after the crime, was arrested a day later.

Police said the altercation escalated when Jeetu, who worked as a labourer, picked up an iron construction rod kept in the kitchen and struck his father on the neck.
Sukhlal sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. The accused then fled the scene.
On Monday, the victim's wife, Ashaben, lodged a complaint, accusing her son of murdering her husband.
Based on her complaint, police registered a case and arrested Jeetu later that same day.
