The Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued a fresh advisory for Amarnath Yatra 2026, asking pilgrims to strictly follow the registration process and safety guidelines. The move comes as the annual pilgrimage continues to draw large crowds.

Officials have reminded devotees that the daily pilgrim limit, fixed as per Supreme Court directions, remains in place to ensure safety and smooth movement along the yatra routes.

The administration has also urged unregistered pilgrims not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir until they receive further instructions.

ONLY REGISTERED PILGRIMS CAN TRAVEL

Authorities have made it clear that only pilgrims with valid registration for their scheduled date will be allowed to proceed towards the holy cave shrine.

Reaching the base camp before the allotted date will not allow early access to the yatra route.

Officials have asked pilgrims to carry all required documents and cooperate with security personnel and officials throughout the journey.

UNREGISTERED DEVOTEES ASKED TO WAIT

The administration has appealed to unregistered pilgrims already present in Jammu and Kashmir to remain patient and wait for further directions instead of attempting to join the yatra.

The advisory comes as authorities manage a heavy rush of devotees while ensuring the pilgrimage remains safe and organised.

DAILY PILGRIM CAP REMAINS IN PLACE

Officials have said the daily cap on pilgrims, introduced in line with Supreme Court directions, will continue throughout the yatra. The restriction helps manage crowd movement, improve safety and maintain arrangements along both pilgrimage routes.

Authorities have once again requested devotees to follow the registration process, respect their allotted travel dates and follow all safety instructions issued during the pilgrimage.
