Just three years ago, Aashish Gupta and Muskan Mittal were working regular corporate jobs in the tech industry. Today, they run a creator business that has grown from a Rs 15,000 brand deal to more than Rs 1 crore in annual earnings. Their journey is another example of how India's fast-growing creator economy is opening up new career paths beyond traditional jobs.

Before becoming full-time creators, Aashish worked as a Data Analyst, earning around Rs 12 lakh per annum in hand, while Muskan was a Software Developer with an annual salary of Rs 23 lakh.

THE BIG CAREER SHIFT

The couple quit their corporate jobs in 2023 to focus entirely on creating content together.

They began their creator journey in May 2023, and their first brand collaboration brought in Rs 15,000. By the end of the year, they had reportedly earned Rs 6.53 lakh.

HOW THEIR INCOME GREW

Their business expanded rapidly over the next two years.

In 2024, they signed with a talent agency and added affiliate marketing as another income stream. Their reported earnings for the year rose to Rs 45.35 lakh.

In 2025, they decided to go independent. Along with brand partnerships, they monetised their YouTube and Facebook channels and launched their first digital product. Their reported earnings for the year reached Rs 1.09 crore.

The momentum has continued into 2026, with the couple reporting Rs 21.64 lakh in earnings during the first quarter alone.

MORE THAN BRAND DEALS

Their journey also shows how many creators are diversifying their income instead of depending solely on sponsored content.

In addition to brand collaborations, they earn through platform monetisation, affiliate marketing and digital products, multiple revenue streams that have become increasingly common among full-time creators.

A GLIMPSE OF INDIA'S CREATOR ECONOMY

The couple's story highlights the rapid growth of India's creator economy, where content creation has evolved from a side hustle into a full-fledged business for many professionals.

While success in the creator space requires consistent content, audience building and multiple income streams, Aashish Gupta and Muskan Mittal's journey shows how a modest Rs 15,000 first brand deal can eventually grow into a crore-plus business.
