Actor Zareen Khan recently rebuked paparazzi at a store launch after a remark upset her. The viral exchange renewed attention on actors pushing back against intrusive behaviour.

Actor Zareen Khan called out paparazzi after an interaction at a store launch took an uncomfortable turn. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media and shows her firmly reprimanding a photographer for asking her to try an outfit in front of the camera, which she found inappropriate.
In the clip shared by Viral Bhayani, Zareen makes it clear that she will not tolerate such comments. Her sharp response has since drawn attention online, with many social media users praising her for standing up for herself and calling out behaviour that crossed professional boundaries.
In the video, Zareen is seen holding a jean outfit while posing for the cameras when the paparazzi asked her to try it on. To which she replied, “Tum logo ke saamne? Wo nahi ho raha (In front of everyone? That’s not happening)."
The exchange prompts an immediate reaction from Zareen, who appears visibly upset. She can be heard saying, “Faltugiri ki baatein nahi karna mere saath, because I am not the one who is gonna take that sh*t, okay? Hadd mein rehna, sab ke sab. (Don’t talk such nonsense with me because I’m not someone who’s going to tolerate that, okay? Stay within your limits—all of you)."
The actor was last seen in the 2021 film Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele. Her mother recently died after a prolonged illness on April 8 in Mumbai. The news of her death was confirmed in an official statement from the actor's team. The statement said that Parveen Khan, mother of the Veer actor, died peacefully.
Wider concern over paparazzi behaviour
Zareen is not the only actor to have spoken out against paparazzi behaviour. Recently, Neha Dhupia also strongly called out paparazzi at an event in Mumbai over what she described as “back shots” taken inappropriately. She said such pictures were disrespectful and added that actors were tired of repeatedly asking for this to stop.
Speaking exclusively to India Today from London, where she is promoting her international debut 52 Blue, the 45-year-old actor later said she values the paparazzi for not only supporting her work but also respecting her family's privacy.
