Thief left hanging outside moving train after snatching bid in Bihar station
Passengers on the Janhit Express caught an alleged mobile snatcher by his arm after he reached through a window at Bihar's Mansi station.

A mobile phone snatching attempt on a moving train in Bihar took an unusual turn when passengers caught hold of the accused through a coach window and refused to let go until the train reached the next station, where he was handed over to the police.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, and the accused has been arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP).
The incident took place on the Barauni–Katihar railway section on the night of July 9. According to the Khagaria GRP, the accused allegedly tried to snatch a passenger's mobile phone through the window of the Janhit Express while the train was at Mansi railway station.
As soon as the man attempted the theft, passengers inside the coach caught hold of one of his arms through the window. Despite repeated efforts to free himself, he remained trapped as the train began moving. The accused was left hanging outside the moving train while passengers continued to hold his arm until it reached Khagaria railway station.
Police said some of the man's alleged associates also tried to rescue him during the journey but were unsuccessful. On reaching Khagaria station, the passengers handed him over to the Government Railway Police.
A video of the incident, which shows the accused hanging outside the moving train while passengers restrain him from inside the coach, has been widely circulated on social media.
Khagaria GRP Station House Officer Mohammad Alauddin identified the accused as Mohammad Fakhruddin, alias Chhotu, a resident of Naugachia in Bhagalpur district.
According to the police, Fakhruddin allegedly attempted to snatch the mobile phone while the train was halted at Mansi station. He was subsequently arrested and produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
The incident has drawn widespread attention online because of the unusual way in which the suspect was apprehended. Authorities have not reported any injuries to the passengers or the accused. The police have urged railway passengers to remain alert while travelling and to immediately inform railway authorities or the GRP in case of theft or attempted snatching.
