There can be no one like you: Akshay Kumar shares Asrani's last shot from Haiwaan

Akshay Kumar has paid an emotional tribute to veteran actor Asrani ahead of the release of Haiwaan. The actor shared a clip from the upcoming thriller and remembered his experience of working with the legendary performer who features in the film.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Akshay wrote, “My good fortune that I got to work with this legend and see him give his last ever shot in Haiwaan. Miss you Asrani ji. There can be no one like you.”

The clip gives a glimpse of Asrani in a scene with actor Sharib Hashmi. He delivers a punchline in the brief sequence, offering audiences a glimpse of his role in the Priyadarshan directorial.

Govardhan Asrani, popularly known as Asrani, known for his comic timings, died in Mumbai in October last year after a prolonged illness.He who had a career spanning several decades, was known for his memorable comic and dramatic performances in Hindi cinema. His appearance in Haiwaan marks a coming together of the veteran actor and a contemporary ensemble led by Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.

Haiwaan stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Sharib Hashmi, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi, among others.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

Haiwaan is set to release worldwide in cinemas on September 11.
