Lock Upp's Akanksha says she'd rather meet her dog than husband Gaurav Khanna
After Vinny Arora met Dheeraj Dhoopar, Akanksha Chamola told Shreya Kalra and Shilpa Shinde that she wished a family member had visited her instead of Gaurav Khanna. The exchange mixed humour with honesty and again put focus on Akanksha's relationship with Gaurav.

In the latest episode, Vinny Arora entered the Lock Upp house to meet husband Dheeraj Dhoopar, leaving the contestants emotional. After Vinny's exit, Shreya Kalra said she wished her boyfriend could visit too, prompting Akanksha to joke, "Mine was an ex."
She then shared that while she appreciated the gesture, she would have found more comfort in seeing a family member—or even her dog—than Gaurav Khanna.
Akanksha added, "Usse (Gaurav) zyada mujhe family mein se koi aata to better tha" (I wish someone from my family had come). When Shreya asked why, Akanksha said, "I wanted my comfort, na. Basically, more for me than for him. I would have preferred agar meri mummy ya papa koi aate, ya mera kutta hi aa jata" (I would have preferred it if my mother or father had come, or even my dog)."
Akanksha has been one of the most candid contestants on Lock Upp. When she entered the show, she said that she and Gaurav were getting divorced and had been living separately for a year, while adding that there was no bitterness between them. She had said, 'There is nothing bad between Gaurav and me. We still talk to each other, but we feel that we are not right for each other as partners.
