Actor Kirti Kulhari loses Rs 2.44 lakh in credit card fraud, complaint filed
Actor Kirti Kulhari reported four unauthorised international card transactions worth over Rs 2.43 lakh. Police and cyber officials are tracing the data leak behind the suspected fraud.

Cybercriminals targeted actor Kirti Kulhari in an international credit card fraud, allegedly swindling 2.44 lakh through unauthorised foreign transactions. Mumbai’s Amboli Police have registered a case against unidentified individuals following a complaint.
According to police sources, the incident occurred on the night of July 24 while the 43-year-old, who lives in Versova, was heading to a multiplex in Andheri West to watch a film. En route, Kulhari received automated alerts from her bank regarding international currency transactions debited from her account.
One of the notifications flagged a payment of $2,525 (approximately Rs 2.11 lakh) made to Aeromxico airlines. Upon contacting her bank's customer care hotline to report the unauthorised activity, financial verification revealed that a total of four transactions amounting to over Rs 2.43 lakh had been executed using her card credentials. The bank immediately blocked the card to prevent further fraudulent activity.
Preliminary probe findings indicate that Kulhari had not shared her PIN, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), or sensitive banking information with any third party. Investigators suspect the data breach occurred via sophisticated technical means — such as malware or compromise of digital networks — rather than social engineering.
Law enforcement authorities, alongside cyber cell officials, are currently auditing digital logs, transaction pathways, and account trails to trace the origin of the leak and identify the culprits involved.
Kulhari is yet to issue a statement on the incident. She has been a part of popular Hindi films such as Indu Sarkar (2017), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), and Mission Mangal (2019).
On the work front, Kulhari is known for featuring in the Prime Video series, Four More Shots Please! featuring actors Bani J, Sayani Gupta and Maanvi Gagroo in crucial roles.
Her last theatrical release was Badass Ravi Kumar (2025). The film also featured actor-singer Himesh Reshamiya alongside actors Sunny Leone, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Manish Wadhwa, Rajesh Sharma, Pawan Malhotra and Mohan Joshi in key roles.
