While speaking to Hindustan Times, Imtiaz shared that Krish followed tradition before proposing and sought his blessing. "It is the greatest happiness for me," the filmmaker said, adding, "Krish did speak to me before proposing to Ida."
The proposal took place on July 1, when Krish got down on one knee and asked Ida to marry him against the stunning backdrop of Norway. On Sunday, the 25-year-old aspiring filmmaker shared a video of the intimate moment on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the memorable proposal.
Ida also shared a few details about her fiance, revealing that 24-year-old Krish works as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund. The couple has been in a long-term relationship before taking the next step together.
With congratulatory messages continuing to pour in, attention has naturally turned to the couple's wedding plans. However, Imtiaz Ali says there is no hurry and wants Ida and Krish to simply enjoy this special phase of their lives.
"I would rather not step in and let them enjoy their moment," the filmmaker said.
