Sharing details about the project, she said, "I'm doing a film with Yash, and it is slated to release in September. I have immense love and respect for Ektaa Kapoor. It was because of her that I did the Netflix show, and we share a wonderful bond. In Yash's film, I am playing his mother. Perhaps this is the first time in the industry that a mother and son are being launched together."

Ssunita also appealed to fans to extend the same love and support to her son as they have shown her over the years.

"I just want to say that I hope you all shower my son, Yash, with the same love and blessings that you have always given me," she said.

While Yash is preparing for his Bollywood debut, his sister, Tina Ahuja, has already ventured into acting. She made her debut with the 2015 film Second Hand Husband.

Ssunita recently exited Lock Upp citing health reasons. She explained her decision to the hosts and said, “My health is not good because my diabetes is not in control. I am having tension, also because I am going through menopause. I have pain and some difficulty in breathing also. That is why I have been telling again and again that I want to go.”

Before her exit, Govinda entered the show to meet Ssunita. Greeting her with a warm hug, the actor remarked that she had never experienced such challenging situations before participating in a reality show. Referring to her frequent arguments inside the house, Govinda joked that his friends had been sending him clips of her confrontations.
