Actor Ram Charan visited the Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Coimbatore with his wife, Upasana Konidela, on Tuesday, shortly after undergoing a successful wrist surgery at Ganga Hospital. Photos of the couple offering prayers at the temple have surfaced online.

The actor was seen in an all-black outfit with his right arm in a sling. Upasana was seen feeding bananas to the cow as they offered prayers to the deity during their visit.

The actor travelled to Coimbatore for the procedure and was accompanied by his father, megastar Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha and wife Upasana, who remained by his side throughout his treatment. Charan sustained injury to his wrist during the shooting of Peddi.

The surgery was led by Dr S Rajasekaran, Chairman of Ganga Hospital. Given the complexity of the injury, renowned hand and wrist specialist Dr Alejandro Badia from Miami joined the surgical team. The procedure was performed by Dr Rajasekaran, Dr Badia, Dr Praveen Bharadwaj and their team of specialists.

According to the medical team, the surgery was successful and Ram Charan is recovering well. Doctors have advised him to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme and take eight weeks' rest before returning to work. He is expected to resume shooting only after receiving medical clearance.

The temple visit came soon after the actor was discharged from the hospital, with fans expressing relief at seeing him in good health.

On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. He is expected to begin shooting for director Sukumar's untitled film after completing his recovery and rehabilitation.
