Yash's Toxic trailer to be out soon: Makers plan grand Bengaluru trailer event
Actor Yash kicked off the Toxic trailer countdown with a new poster and confirmed a Bengaluru launch event on August 8. The gangster drama is set to release in theatres on August 26.
Yash's upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has entered its trailer launch phase, with the makers announcing the next big update for the film. A grand launch event is being planned in Bengaluru as the gangster drama moves closer to its worldwide theatrical release.
The announcement was shared on social media along with a new monochromatic poster from the film. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. In the black-and-white poster, Yash is seen standing alone on a rain-soaked street at night, wearing a hat and a long coat, and appearing to hold a gun.
The makers said the trailer will be released on August 8, ahead of the film's worldwide release on August 26. The release time for the trailer has not been announced yet. What Yash said about the film
Earlier, Yash also spoke about Toxic while attending San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to promote his upcoming film Ramayana. He called the film "wild" and "unapologetic", and said audiences would leave theatres wondering, "What the hell was that?"
In an interview with JoBlo.com, Yash said, "I know this is a movie that will blow everybody's mind. It's like a roller-coaster ride - it's wild, unapologetic. But, at the same time, it's very deep as well. It may come across as something larger than life - that's there. That's the texture of the film. But, deep inside, it's a deep and emotional film. Anybody who is going to walk into theatres will get their mind blown while walking out. And they're going to go, 'What the hell was that?'"
Yash also spoke about filming the action sequences in Toxic. He said action films have always excited him. "I love action. I am a fan of action movies and whenever there's action, the kid in me is excited. I'll be watching the monitor as I am watching the movie. [Action choreographer] JJ (Perry) did a great job and on this 26th, we're releasing Toxic, and you'll see what kind of action we have done," he said.
He also credited Hollywood stunt coordinator JJ Perry, known for films such as John Wick, for the action in the film. At the same time, he said the action was built around the story.
"I get inspired by the kind of action I see in some of the films that JJ has worked on, like John Wick and many others. We've tried to get the best quality action in this, and it's not action without a reason. The emotion behind the action is important. I think they've got that right in Toxic and even in Ramayana," he added.
