Video: Thar driver on rampage in Bhopal; rams 10 cars, people run in panic
The Mahindra Thar rammed more than 10 cars inside a Bhopal colony before smashing through its gate, leaving residents panicked as the driver fled.
A speeding Mahindra Thar went on a rampage, hitting more than 10 cars and damaging several vehicles, causing panic in a residential colony in Bhopal, police said.
The black Thar also crashed into and broke through the Misrod residential colony’s gate as people ran for cover to avoid being hit.
Some of the residents also tried to stop the vehicle by throwing stones, but the driver continued the rampage before eventually fleeing the spot.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the colony.
Residents escaped the incident unharmed. However, the Thar’s high-speed movement through the residential premises caused a commotion, while the damage to multiple vehicles left residents frightened.
Following the incident, Bhopal Police launched a search for the Thar driver. Police said they are examining the CCTV footage and the vehicle’s registration number to trace the driver.
