CBSE to hold Class 12 supplementary exam today for around 1.63 lakh students
CBSE is conducting the Class 12 supplementary examination on July 28 for over 1.63 lakh students looking to clear pending subjects or improve their scores. The board has advised candidates to reach exam centres early, carry the required documents, and strictly follow examination guidelines.
For more than 1.63 lakh Class 12 students, today marks a crucial opportunity to rewrite their board exam journey. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Class 12 supplementary examination on July 28, offering students in the compartment category a chance to clear pending subjects.
The exam also allows eligible candidates to improve their scores in a subject and strengthen their overall academic record.
CBSE will conduct the Class 12 supplementary examination in a single-day, single-shift format. While most core subjects will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, vocational papers such as Food Production, Banking, Marketing, Healthcare, Insurance and Fashion Studies will be conducted from 10:50 am to 1:30 pm, according to the official schedule.
Candidates will be allotted 15 minutes before the exam to read the question paper.
DOCUMENTS STUDENTS MUST CARRY
The following items are mandatory or recommended for candidates appearing for the examination:
- Printed CBSE supplementary examination admit card
- Valid photo identity card, wherever applicable
- Transparent stationery pouch containing essential stationery
- Blue or black ballpoint pen
- Transparent water bottle without any printed label
CBSE has urged candidates to reach their examination centres well in advance to ensure a hassle-free verification process. Before heading to the venue, students should verify the details on their admit cards, including the subject, exam date, centre address, reporting time and examination duration.
STRICT BAN ON ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The Board has reiterated that mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and all other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
Possession of any banned item during the examination may invite action under CBSE's Unfair Means (UFM) rules, which could lead to cancellation of the examination or other disciplinary measures.
Candidates have also been instructed to maintain discipline throughout the examination and strictly follow the directions of invigilators. Adhering to the Board's guidelines and arriving prepared will help ensure a smooth examination experience.
