Delhi government schools will begin the second cycle of Class 10 and 12 admissions through a Common Admission Test. The round is meant for eligible Delhi students who missed the earlier process.

Delhi government schools will open applications for the second cycle of non-plan admissions to Classes 10 and 12 today, with admissions to be carried out through a Common Admission Test (CAT).
In a circular, the Directorate of Education (DoE) said the second admission cycle is meant for students who were unable to apply during the previous admission process or are still seeking admission through the department.
APPLICATION DEADLINE, ADMIT CARD, EXAM DATE
According to the notified schedule, application forms will be available from Friday, while the deadline for submitting completed forms is July 25.
Schools are required to send the received applications to the respective District Deputy Director of Education (DDE) by July 27, the circular stated.
Admit cards will be issued on July 30 at the schools where candidates have submitted their applications.
The Common Admission Test (CAT) for Classes 10 and 12 is scheduled to be held on August 1 between 10 am and 12 noon.
The test results will be announced on August 5. Thereafter, the concerned District Deputy Directors of Education will allocate schools to successful candidates based on available vacancies, subject combinations offered and the applicant's place of residence, the circular said.
The DoE clarified that only students residing in Delhi will be eligible for admission.
For admission to Class 10, applicants must have passed Class 9 as regular students from a recognised school during the previous academic session.
Those seeking admission to Class 12 must have cleared Class 11 from a recognised school with the required subject combination.
The Directorate further said that Heads of Schools will verify the eligibility of applicants before forwarding their application forms to the concerned District DDE or nodal officer for the issuance of admit cards.
