At the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, a man was seen offering pizza to RAF personnel on duty. The gesture received praise online as a sign of humanity amid a tense situation.
A man at the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest site in Delhi's Jantar Mantar walked up to Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel with a box of pizzas, offering them food despite the tense atmosphere surrounding the situation.
The video was shared on Instagram by Nitesh Kumar Tiwari, who captured the moment where the man approached security personnel stationed at the protest site and offered them a small gesture of kindness.
In the video, the man was seen holding a large pizza box as he walked towards RAF personnel sitting along the side of the road. Instead of confronting them, he began offering slices of pizza, repeatedly asking them to eat. "Please eat sir, it's all okay," he was heard saying as he moved from one officer to another, encouraging them to accept the food.
The personnel appeared to be seated near the protest area while maintaining security arrangements. The man continued distributing pizza among them, turning a moment of tension between protesters and authorities into a wholesome scene.
Sharing the video, Tiwari wrote, "We respect uniforms, but won’t leave anyone who is attacking in civil dress. Please police, do not beat people."
The gesture came amid the ongoing CJP protests at Jantar Mantar, which began as a youth-led movement centred around concerns over examination issues and education-related grievances.
The protests have expanded since then, drawing students and supporters from different parts of the country, with protesters demanding accountability and reforms.
Alongside the protests, several supporters have also been using food and supplies as a way of showing solidarity with those gathered at the protest site. Videos circulating online have shown people arranging meals, water and other essentials for protesters, with some supporters sending food through Zomato and Swiggy from different cities to Jantar Mantar as a symbol of encouragement.
