Teachers falsely accused me of stealing: Class 8 Bengaluru student dies by suicide
A handwritten note left by the student alleged she was falsely accused of stealing small sums of money and repeatedly scolded by teachers, leaving her humiliated. Her family has blamed the school's treatment, while police have registered a case and are investigating the allegations and the circumstances surrounding her death.

A Class 8 student died by suicide after claiming in a handwritten note that she could no longer bear the humiliation of being falsely accused of stealing money at her school in Karnataka's Bengaluru Urban district.
The incident was reported from Marasuru in Anekal taluk, where the girl, a student of a government higher primary school, was found hanging at her residence on Thursday night.
The incident came to light on Friday morning when her family found her. A case has been registered at the Suryanagar Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
According to police, the student left behind a handwritten note stating that she had been wrongly accused of stealing Rs 20 and Rs 10 at school and was deeply hurt by the allegations. She wrote that she had been scolded by teachers and was unable to cope with the shame and humiliation.
In the note, the student said she felt she no longer deserved to live. She repeatedly apologised to her mother, siblings and other family members, asked them to forgive her, and requested that no one hold her mother responsible for her death. She maintained that she had taken the decision on her own.
The girl's family has alleged that she was driven to take the extreme step after being reprimanded by a teacher at school. Her mother told the media that there had been no harassment at home and that she had only heard that her daughter had been troubled by teachers at school.
"I don't know exactly what happened. If someone had harassed her at home, she would have told me. There was no harassment at home. I only heard that some teachers at school had troubled her. I don't know which teacher or teachers," the mother said.
She also said she was admitted to a hospital for a skin-related ailment when the incident occurred and came to know about her daughter's death after family members informed her over the phone.
Police said they are verifying the contents of the handwritten note and investigating the circumstances that led to the student's death, including the family's allegation that she was scolded at school.
