Lock Upp: Shreya Kalra claims Kushal Tandon DMed her while dating Shivangi Joshi
Lock Upp 2 contestant Shreya Kalra alleged that Kushal Tandon had messaged her while he was dating Shivangi Joshi. She claimed she later showed their chats to Shivangi to clear any misunderstanding.
A fresh controversy has unfolded inside Lock Upp 2 after contestant Shreya Kalra made claims about actors Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi's past relationship. During a conversation with Shilpa Shinde, Shreya alleged that Kushal had messaged her on social media while he was reportedly involved with Shivangi, and claimed she later showed their chat to the actor to clear any misunderstanding.
The Netflix reality show, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, has been making headlines for contestants' personal revelations. In the latest episode, Shreya recalled an incident from the time she was shooting a promotional video for one of Shivangi Joshi's television shows.
While speaking to Shilpa Shinde, Shreya said she never shared a close bond with Shivangi despite working on the same project. She then recounted receiving a direct message from Shivangi's co-star after the shoot. Although she did not say his name aloud and instead mouthed it, she indicated she was referring to Kushal Tandon. She also avoided naming the show, but Kushal and Shivangi were last seen together in Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka.
Recalling the incident, Shreya said, “He Dmed me after the shoot. I was dating at that time. At that time there was something between Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi. I didn’t know about it."
She further alleged that Kushal continued messaging her, but she decided not to take the conversation forward.
Shreya added, “He started speaking to me. I got a hunch and stopped. Then, Shivangi and I met on the set and she was like, ‘Oh hi! Yes! He told me about you that you followed and messaged him.’ I said ‘Excuse me! I wouldn’t be the first person to approach any man. I’ve never that in my entire life."
According to Shreya, she immediately offered to show Shivangi their conversation to avoid any confusion.
She said, “I gave my phone to her. She read my whole chat. I didn’t flirt back and I didn’t say anything."
When Shilpa Shinde asked, “Didn’t she start crying?", Shreya replied, “She did cry after the shoot in the set. After 3-5 months, that guy posted a story saying that they have broken up."
Shreya also claimed that she brought up Shivangi's past relationship during their time on Lock Upp 2. According to her, Shivangi chose not to discuss what had gone wrong between them and changed the subject.
Kushal Tandon is currently a contestant in the Alliance house, while Shivangi Joshi is competing in Lock Upp 2. Neither Kushal nor Shivangi has publicly responded to Shreya's claims at the time of writing. It remains to be seen whether the show's hosts address the allegations during the upcoming Judgement Day episode.
