Pralay, a zombie thriller, will mark Singh's first foray into the genre, adding a fresh and unconventional project to his filmography. The actor is currently enjoying the success of Dhurandhar, while also preparing for a new chapter in his personal life as he and Deepika await the arrival of their second child.

The upcoming film marks another ambitious project for Ranveer Singh following the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar. While the makers are yet to reveal details about the film's cast and plot, the zombie thriller has already piqued the curiosity of fans.

Earlier, Pinkvilla had reported that a major portion of the film will be shot in Australia. Quoting a source, the entertainment portal claimed, "Ranveer will begin shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. A significant schedule has been planned in Australia, and he has already begun preparing for the role. The film demands extensive physical and emotional preparation, given its scale and genre."

The source had further revealed that Singh has been closely collaborating with the director and writers as the project takes shape. Reportedly, Pralay will be a VFX-heavy one, and the team is constantly refining the screenplay, visual language, and the larger zombie universe.

About Pralay

Mounted on an estimated budget of Rs 300 crore, Pralay is expected to be the most expensive standalone film of Ranveer Singh's career. Despite Jai, son of Hansal Mehta, being a first-time director, the actor is said to have placed his confidence in the script and the filmmaker's vision.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the film follows the story of a married couple fighting for survival in a dystopian Mumbai.
